Invictus Prince has been scratched from Caulfield so in SR8, he is a real good bet at $16

MR4 Freehearted @ $18 (love a Weir horse coming to Melb off a nice win in Adel.)

MR6 Peaceful @ $31 (This isn't Hanging Rock and Baker/Forsman don't bring a 3yr old over for a picnic. Nice 2nd in first Oz start. Great odds).

MR7 Dollar for Dollar @ $20 (a touch underrated, wide barrier but should go forward again, only just caught last start in the Sir Rupert Clarke).

MR8 The Cliffsofmoher @ $12 (but hoping Nights Watch runs well, have him at $101 for CC).

MR10 Rezealient @ $61 (agree with Todman, have been a fan since the Autumn, third up should be running home hard late).

Will be taking a few boxed quins/trifs with these, the obvious short priced chances (some look hard to beat), and a few of fellow forumite's picks. Does shape up to be a great day of racing. Enjoy (those who can).

a few for Caulfield, but the top 2 in a few races, may be too good

MR2 Grande Rosso

MR3 Tatiara - 100/1

MR4 In Good Time

MR6 Qafila/Music Bay

MR7 Hellova Street - if he gets a comfortable lead - LOOK OUT

MR8 Invictus Prince - on weights he is no chance but out to 2000m for first time in OZ and should race forward - fights on strongly - 125/1

MR9 Vassilator - very disappointing last start - 100/1

MR10 Rezealient - 60/1 - my best ruffie

After getting $51 for Not a Single Cent on Thursday, was happy to see the SP of $16, and before the turn was more excited, alas just a 5th. Wheal Leisure was a bet in hope, shizenhousen. Thought Thousand Wishes was going to win halfway down the straight @ $34, but was overhauled. Will follow this one. Lostclarity, bummer with PA, was my biggest bet and many multis. Here's the Vet report... "A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be distressed and have cardiac arrhythmia and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again".

Cheers

Tonight

MR5 Green Ivy - $35 & $6.50 and a real outsider - Stars Of Carrum - $101 & $17 - he will beat most home, in my book - just hoping for a place but a win would be sweet as I got $126

Saturday

SR5 Music Magnate - $34 & $5

SR7 Religify - $126 & $22 - he has been restricted to WFA races this time in - should be fit to race forward and kick strongly with no weight - the class may be too strong but he loves the Randwick mile

SR9 Isorich - last start was good and at $61 & $16 - he can give this race a shake

Both my major bets gave a huge sight.Only the alley and fast starts gassed them.Look for a 1200m race in 2-4 weeks. The last F4 in Melb. and a pineapple on the mayopr's nose in the Syd. get out stakes saved some face and least to say cash. My 4way all up place was showing 27K return, not bad for 30 bucks.
Cheers all, The Pig.

Two good rouighies in Caulfield today.

            MR 6 H11 ?Illuminaire.

MR 8 LITE IN MY VEINS I've had a pineapple the place on both and am considering a few 2-3 place all ups with Spanish Reef MR7 which I also    sider over the odds.

Good luck all,The Pig.

Agree with Ramses

My 3 for tomorrow are all around $21 to $26

MR6 Granny Red Shoes

MR7 Ventura Storm

MR8 Helluvo Street - I have a little inside knowledge re his 2018 preps - all aimed at this race first up - his 1st up and 1400m stats are great and combining the 2 for the 1st time, plus an inside draw, he is primed to go

Had an early dip on Ventura Storm Saturday MR7 @ $26. Took the same odds for VS in The Metropolitan. Think he will have a good Spring in the right races.

Sheezdashing had the wall of walls in front of her, until she got clear running too late, but ran home well for third, for a first up run.

I missed The Taj Mahal's race, but see it was ninth. Would like to hear anyone's thoughts, will watch replay tonight. Expected it would be better over further, but after trialing well thought it could be an e/w chance. Firmed in from $41 to $19, but they don't pay out on firmers.

My day was made better with a nice 3rd position collect in the (don't think I can say bookies names on here) new comps.

I was hoping Suncraze would win the last, but happy with third.

Look forward to everyone's thoughts over the Spring. Hopefully see some forum veterans as well.

MR2 Satin Slipper - $19 & $5

SR3 Gamblestown - $21 & $5 - his last start effort was equal to Souchez's who is more fancied - he thru a shoe in the race

SR5 Music Magnate - $14 & $3.50 - good effort last start and may be back to best - is so, will place and can win

BR3 Khaleesi - a throw at the stumps - have tipped her previously - back to 1200 and a reasonable draw, cannot get further, last win was 14 months ago at this track and distance - $101 & $16

I think The Taj Mahal MR7 is a sneaky chance tomorrow at $41. Also had a little on @ $51 for the Caulfield Cup.Pretty much the same for Sheezdashing MR6 @ $15 and $61 (CC).

Sunshine Coast Race 6 no 8 Metoeroligist. Raced wider than Fighting Teo last start and gets a 2kg turnaround for 1 length defeat and has a better barrier.
